The Project

Taking a Basement from Unfinished to Framed and Ready

This Granville homeowner wanted their basement studded out and insulated as the first step toward a full finish. We framed the walls, loaded in Rockwool insulation, and got everything ready for drywall.

While we were down there, we also tackled the stairs leading to the basement. The old treads were worn and ready to be replaced, so we rebuilt the staircase from the stringers up and finished it with new stained treads.

The Problem

Unfinished Walls and Worn-Out Stairs

The basement walls were bare block with no framing or insulation, and the stairs leading down had seen years of use: worn treads that needed to be rebuilt before the space could move forward.

The Fix

Framed, Insulated, and a New Staircase

We studded out the basement walls, insulated with Rockwool, and rebuilt the stairs from the stringers up with new stained treads, getting the whole space ready for the next phase.

Basement Projects

Framing and Insulation Are the Foundation of a Good Basement Finish

A basement finish is only as good as what's behind the drywall. Framing the walls square and insulating properly before anything gets covered up makes for a basement that's comfortable and holds up, and tackling worn stairs at the same time means one less thing to deal with later.

Thinking about finishing your basement, or just need the stairs rebuilt? We can handle the framing, insulation, and stairs, all of it or just what you need.
